About the event

Want to start ‘bagging Munros’ but not sure where to start? Do you need help gaining confidence in the mountains? Or do you simply want to start getting out into the hills? Join Hiker Heather on this Introduction to the Hills where we will discuss various topics such as weather considerations, what to pack, we can look at the basics of navigation, we can discuss what do do in emergency situations and how to keep yourself safe in the first instance. We will also ‘bag’ two Munros on this day, Stob Coire Raineach and Stob Dubh! The hike of Buachaille Etive Beag is mainly on a well-constructed path but there is also the added interest of a straightforward ridge walk offering panoramic views of Glencoe and the peaks surrounding us! The hike is 5 miles in total with an ascent of 900m.

£70 per person. Full event details and booking information will be sent to you upon RSVP!

Please note - I am running various other events in the Glencoe & Fort William area over the course of the week so please feel free to also check out my other events :)
